Walk-in steam showers ditch the bathtub entirely and give you a full-height, enclosed steam environment. Every steam shower in this collection comes with an integrated steam generator, body jets, and a sealed enclosure designed to hold steam without leaking into the rest of your bathroom. The collection also lists the steam shower tub combos, which add a jetted tub inside the enclosure. For a walk-in, the main decision is shape.
Rectangular walk-in units fit against a single wall or into an alcove. The Ariel Platinum DZ972F8, for example, is sized for a standard 60" x 32" bathtub space. Ariel Platinum's rectangular models include a rainfall ceiling shower alongside the steam function, and the DZ972F8 has dual rainfall ceiling showers.
If you're working with a bathroom that has an unused corner, a corner steam shower can turn that dead space into something you actually use. Standalone corner units here run from 35" x 35" (Ariel Platinum DZ934F3) to 47" x 47" (Ariel Platinum DZ962F8), and Mesa's from 36" x 36" (9090K) to 39" x 39" (WS-301). Door style varies by model — the Mesa WS-302A, for example, has a hinged door — so check the door type and swing clearance on the product page.
You need the interior dimensions of your bathroom opening, plus clearance for the door type. Rectangular walk-ins run from 45" x 32" (Mesa WS-802L) to 59" x 35.4" (Ariel Platinum DZ961F8), and corner units start at 35" x 35". Units stand 85"–89" tall, and most product pages add 2" for the ventilation exhaust pipe. Every product page lists exact exterior dimensions, but always measure the space where plumbing connections will go, not just the floor.
Most walk-in steam showers are built for one or two people. Mesa describes compact units like the 9090K and WS-302A as one-person showers, while two-person walk-ins such as the Mesa WS-803L (54" x 35", dual shower wands and fold-up seating) and the Ariel Platinum DZ961F8 (59" x 35.4", two stools) give two bathers room; the Ariel Platinum DZ972F8 is another 59"-wide option. If shared use matters to you, check the seating listed on the product page. Our two-person steam shower collection groups all the dual-capacity models in one place.
Every unit includes a steam generator, body jets and a rainfall showerhead, and most add a handheld showerhead. Beyond those basics, every Ariel Platinum model lists LED chromotherapy lighting, an aromatherapy system and an FM radio. Mesa units focus on acupuncture-style body jets, ozone sterilization and blue mood lighting. Both brands use tempered safety glass. The control panel and plumbing placement varies by model: the Mesa WS-802L and WS-905 and the Ariel Platinum DZ959F8 and DZ961F8 are sold as left- and right-hand versions and the Mesa WS-803L is reversible, so check which configuration you need before ordering.
Ariel Platinum builds the higher-end walk-in units in our lineup. Most of their F8-series enclosures come in a white or black finish, with LCD computer control panels and a built-in 6kW steam generator; the compact DZ934F3 uses 3kW. The design leans modern and architectural, with clean lines and minimal visible hardware. The DZ961F8 is a strong pick if you want a two-person rectangular unit with left or right door configuration options.
Mesa covers the widest range of sizes and configurations. From the compact 9090 (36" x 36") and the 500XL (47" x 35"), which Mesa lists for free-standing or corner use, up to the WS-803L (54" x 35"), Mesa gives you more options at accessible price points. Mesa uses a 3kW steam generator on every model, and every unit ships with acupuncture or body massage jets. Mesa models come in clear or blue tempered glass depending on the model, and the WS-301 is offered in both, so you can match the look to your bathroom.
Every walk-in steam shower arrives as a complete enclosure, packed as components for assembly in the bathroom: base tray, glass panels and door, roof, the built-in steam generator and control panel, the shower fixtures and jets, and mounting hardware. You won't need to source a separate steam generator or purchase jets individually. These units are self-contained enclosures, so they do not require the same custom steam-room waterproofing system as a site-built tiled steam room; follow the installation manual, local plumbing and electrical code, and the floor and subfloor requirements.
You'll need professional installation. These units require both plumbing and electrical connections. A licensed plumber handles the hot and cold water supply lines and drain connection. A licensed electrician installs the dedicated electrical circuit the steam generator requires. Every steam shower here is listed at 220V (the Ariel Platinum DA333F8 at 110/220V). Breaker size, conductor size and circuit configuration must be taken from the installation manual for the specific model, so have your electrician review it before scheduling installation.
