• Safety distances: each stove's manual sets its safety distances to combustible materials; Harvia's M3 manual says no electrical devices, wires or flammable materials may sit inside them, and HUUM's HIVE Wood manual keeps electrical equipment and wiring out of the stove's safety area.
• Base and wiring: the base has to be solid and level, and Dundalk LeisureCraft's instructions add a slight slope to the back for drainage; any electrical connection, such as for a sauna light, must be made by a qualified electrician, as Dundalk's instructions require.
