What size is a 2 person barrel sauna?
A 2 person barrel sauna is an outdoor sauna with a round, barrel-shaped body and benches for at least two adults. SunRay sells the Solace, 4 feet deep by 6 feet wide, for two people and the Aurora, 5 feet deep, for two to four; the Oasis has the same 51-inch-deep room as the Aurora under a canopy that makes it 6 feet deep overall. SaunaLife rates its E6 for up to three bathers, and Dundalk LeisureCraft gives the Harmony seating for two to four.
True North publishes no seat rating for its barrels. It builds its barrel and its Schooner in standard lengths of 6, 8, 9 and 10 feet; Topture lists the 6-foot True North barrel for two to four people and the Schooner for two to eight.

A 2 person barrel sauna at Topture starts at $4,390 for the SaunaLife E6, before SaunaLife's $950 freight charge, and the SunRay Solace 200SH at $4,790 already includes its Harvia heater.

2 person barrel sauna heaters: included, electric package or wood-burning
Every 2 person barrel sauna at Topture is a traditional sauna heated through sauna stones. The three SunRay barrels come with a Harvia electric heater and stones, the simpler option if you would rather not choose a heater. The True North, SaunaLife and Dundalk LeisureCraft barrels are sold with a choice of heater packages on their product pages, one marked Recommended, which is a 6 kW or 7.5 kW HUUM DROP electric heater on each. For wood-burning heat, choose a True North barrel or the Dundalk Harmony, the 2 person barrels that can also take a Harvia M3 wood-burning stove kit.
SunRay lists each of its barrels for a dedicated 220–240 V circuit, and HUUM's manual for the UKU control that runs the DROP packages says to install it on a dedicated circuit. Your licensed electrician sizes the breaker and wire from the manual that ships with the heater and your local code.

The base has to be level and solid: SunRay's barrel manual asks for a concrete pad, a wood deck or another solid surface and never bare ground, and Dundalk LeisureCraft adds a slight slope to the back for drainage.
