Heater sizing for a 6 person traditional sauna

Heater output for a 6 person traditional sauna is matched to the interior volume of the room. Dundalk LeisureCraft recommends 9 kW for the Georgian cabin and 7.5 kW for the Tranquility barrel. On the other current kits the package marked Recommended runs from a HUUM DROP 6 kW on the SaunaLife E8, through a HUUM DROP 7.5 kW on every True North model, to a Saunum Air L 9.8 kW on the SaunaLife CL7G and GL6.

For wood-burning heat in a 6 person traditional sauna, start with the Dundalk LeisureCraft and True North models: every one of them offers a Harvia M3 wood stove kit, as do the SaunaLife E8 and EE8G, and the Dundalk models add a HUUM HIVE Wood 13 kW package. Every 6-person traditional sauna we currently carry is an outdoor model. Our largest indoor traditional saunas, the Kohler C1 and the ThermaSol Lumaria, seat up to five, so an indoor build for six isn't something we can supply today.

Of Dundalk LeisureCraft's saunas, Topture carries the Dundalk Leisurecraft Georgian Cabin Sauna 6 Person | CTC88W at this size, also offered with a changeroom or a covered porch, plus the Tranquility and Tranquility MP barrels.

SaunaLife's current 6-person models here are the CL7G cube, the GL6 glass-front kit, the E8 and EE8G barrels and the G3 pod. The SaunaLife G4 | 6-Person Traditional Outdoor Sauna is discontinued and stays listed as a reference page. SaunaLife sets its own freight on its saunas at any order value.

True North's three barrels and two pods are each listed here with six in their seat range, in white or red cedar.

Kohler makes the C2 outdoor sauna in Douglas Fir or Weathered Grey Spruce, offered here in 3, 5 and 6 person sizes, with its FERO electric heater included.

Electrical for a 6 person traditional sauna

HUUM's US manual lists the DROP 6 kW at 25 amps, the DROP 7.5 kW at 31.25 amps and the DROP 9 kW at 37.5 amps on a 240 V supply.
