Two-person steam showers come in three main layouts, and the right one depends on your bathroom footprint and how you plan to use the space.
Walk-in units sit against a flat wall or in an alcove. In this collection they measure 54"–59" wide and 32"–35" deep: the Mesa WS-803L (54" x 35") and the Ariel Platinum DZ956F8 and DZ972F8 (59" x 32"). If one replaces an existing shower or tub, the supply and drain may already be close to the right location. The Ariel Platinum DZ972F8 is sized for a standard 60" x 32" bathtub space, and the Mesa WS-803L has dual shower wands, fold-up seating and a reversible door.
If your bathroom has an unused corner, the tub combo here, the Mesa WS-608 (63" x 63"), has a square footprint that fits one. For standalone corner units, see the corner steam shower collection.
Steam shower tub combos pair a full soaking tub with an overhead steam enclosure. They take up more room, but you get two fixtures in one footprint. Mesa's WS-608 is built for couples who want a jetted bath and a steam session without dedicating half the bathroom to separate units.
Measure the available width, depth, and ceiling height. The units here stand 85"–89" tall, and most product pages add 2" for the ventilation exhaust pipe. Steam showers need a fully enclosed ceiling to trap steam, so if you've got a vaulted bathroom ceiling you'll need a self-contained unit with its own roof panel. Every model on our product pages lists exact exterior dimensions, so cross-reference those against your available space before anything else.
Most of our Mesa steam showers come in clear glass or blue-tinted glass options. Blue glass gives the enclosure a spa-like tint and obscures visibility slightly. Clear glass opens up the room visually and works better in smaller bathrooms where you don't want the enclosure to feel like a box. The Ariel Platinum line offers black and white finish options on the frame and panels, which makes a real aesthetic difference.
Every unit in this collection ships with a built-in steam generator sized for the enclosure. You don't need to buy one separately. The generator heats water and pushes steam into the cabin through a dedicated outlet. Output differs by brand: the Ariel Platinum DZ956F8 and DZ972F8 use a 6kW generator, and the Mesa WS-608 and WS-803L use 3kW. You set the temperature and timer on the control panel: Ariel Platinum controls adjust from 68°F to 122°F with a 5–50 minute timer, and Mesa's manuals list settings up to 140°F. An aromatherapy system is listed on both Ariel Platinum models and on the Mesa WS-803L.
The units here share a core feature set: seating, an overhead rainfall showerhead, body jets, digital temperature and timer controls, an FM radio and a ventilation fan, and the Mesa models add two handheld shower wands. Where they differ is in extras. Body jet counts vary by model: 12 on the Mesa WS-803L and 20 acupressure jets on the Ariel Platinum DZ972F8, while the Mesa tub combos pair body jets with whirlpool jets in the tub (10 of each on the WS-608). LED chromotherapy lighting is listed on the Ariel Platinum models; ozone sterilization, blue mood lighting and a foot massager are listed on the Mesa models. Check each product page for the exact feature list. The Ariel Platinum DZ972F8 adds dual rainfall ceiling showers and a hardwood ceiling and floor.
Mesa builds the widest range of steam shower configurations we carry. Their catalog covers walk-in stalls, corner units, and tub combos across multiple size classes. Construction is tempered safety glass in clear or blue tint, and every unit ships with the steam generator, digital controls and shower fixtures included. Each product page shows the current delivery estimate.
Ariel Platinum occupies the higher end of the lineup, with sharper architectural lines, LCD computer control panels, a 6kW steam generator, and an aromatherapy system and LED chromotherapy lighting as standard. Both Ariel Platinum models here are 59" x 32" walk-in rectangular steam showers in a white or black finish. If those features matter more to you than price, Ariel Platinum is where to look.
Steam showers connect to standard residential plumbing. You'll need hot and cold water supply lines and a drain connection, the same as any shower installation. Every unit here is listed at 220V and needs a dedicated circuit with the ground-fault or leakage protection its manual specifies. Breaker size, conductor size and circuit configuration must be taken from the installation manual for the specific model, and Mesa's tub-combo spec sheets call for two dedicated circuits rather than one. A licensed electrician should install the circuit and verify your panel has capacity for the unit.
Each unit is a self-contained enclosure that arrives as components for assembly in the bathroom: Mesa lists adult assembly as required, and Ariel Platinum's manuals show a two-person assembly. Because the enclosure is self-contained, it does not require the same custom steam-room waterproofing system as a site-built tiled steam room; follow the installation manual, local plumbing and electrical code, and the floor and subfloor requirements. Mesa states that its warranty requires installation by a licensed plumber and electrician. Each product page links a specification sheet with the plumbing and electrical requirements for your installer.
Every steam shower ships free within the contiguous U.S. and includes freight insurance. Our team is available by phone if you have questions during installation or need help choosing the right model for your bathroom layout.
