A 2 person indoor sauna fits almost anywhere with a solid floor, a spare 4×4 feet and enough ceiling. Three measurements decide it, and getting them wrong is the most common reason an indoor sauna goes back to Topture.
Footprint. Our smallest 2-person indoor cabin is the SunRay Sedona at 36″ × 42″ — that’s smaller than most shower enclosures. The largest is the ThermaSol Lumaria at 87″ × 67″. Most sit around 48–59″ wide.
Ceiling height. Cabins run 75″ to 88″ tall. A standard 8-foot ceiling (96″) clears all of them. A finished basement at 84″ rules out the Dundalk Nook, Loft and Studio at 88″. Measure to the lowest obstruction — ductwork and joists count.
Doorway. Indoor kits arrive as flat panels, so what has to fit through your door is the largest panel, not the assembled cabin. This is why a sauna that looks too big for your basement often isn’t.

A 2 person indoor sauna starts with the room underneath it. Floor. Any sealed, level, non-combustible surface works — tile, concrete, vinyl, sealed hardwood. It needs to be level, because a cabin assembled out of true won’t seal at the door. Carpet is the one to avoid: it traps moisture underneath and you won’t see the problem until it’s a problem.
Clearance. Leave a few inches behind and beside the cabin. The wall panels get warm and the gap is what lets that heat dissipate instead of sitting against your drywall. Check the specific model’s manual — manufacturer clearances vary and they govern the warranty.
Ventilation. Traditional cabins need an intake low near the heater and an outlet high on the opposite wall. That circulation is what makes the room comfortable rather than stuffy, and on a kit it’s already engineered in — your job is not to block it. Infrared cabins have far lighter requirements because they don’t produce steam. Neither needs a window or an external vent in a normal room.
One thing people worry about that they shouldn’t: humidity damage to the room. A 2-person indoor sauna used a few times a week doesn’t put meaningful moisture into your house. In a traditional sauna most of the steam comes off water poured on the hot stones, and it stays in the cabin.

A 2 person indoor sauna usually ends up in one of four rooms for Topture customers.
Basement — the most common choice, and usually the right one. Concrete floor, nothing to damage, out of the way. Watch ceiling height and check the space isn’t damp before you add a sauna to it.
Bathroom — works well when there’s a spare 4×4 corner, and the shower being three steps away is genuinely better than it sounds. Existing tile and drainage are already what you want.
Home gym — the sauna gets used far more when it’s in the room you’re already in. Leave clearance so it isn’t behind the rack.
Garage — possible, with a caveat. An unconditioned garage in a cold climate makes the cabin work harder and heat more slowly. If the garage is insulated, it’s fine. If it isn’t, look at 2 person outdoor saunas instead — they’re built for the temperature swing.

A 2 person indoor sauna kit arrives as pre-built wall, floor, ceiling and bench panels that bolt together, plus the heater, controls, guard rail and door. Assembly is a couple of hours with two people and the included hardware — no framing, no cutting, no carpentry.
