Heater sizing for a 5 person traditional sauna

A 5 person traditional sauna's heater is chosen for the volume of its room, not for the number of seats. Dundalk LeisureCraft's recommended electric heater size is 9 kW for the Georgian cabin and 7.5 kW for the Serenity and Tranquility barrels. On the other models sold with heater packages, the one marked Recommended runs from a HUUM DROP 7.5 kW, as on every True North model, to a Saunum Air L 13 kW on the SaunaLife G6, the heater SaunaLife recommends for that cabin.

Only three 5 person traditional saunas at Topture go indoors: two Kohler C1 kits offered in a 5-person size, and the ThermaSol Lumaria, whose Large size ThermaSol rates for 4–5 people. HUUM's US manual lists the DROP 7.5 kW at 31.25 amps and the DROP 9 kW at 37.5 amps on a 240 V supply.
