| Glass size | Viewable area | Rough opening | Glass |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16″ × 30″ | 14-1/2″ × 28-1/2″ | 17-7/8″ × 31-7/8″ | Clear or gray-tinted |
| 16″ × 60″ | 14-1/2″ × 58-1/2″ | 17-7/8″ × 61-7/8″ | Clear |
| 24″ × 36″ | 22-1/2″ × 34-1/2″ | 25-7/8″ × 37-7/8″ | Clear |
The size is the glass; frame the wall to the rough opening. The 16″ × 60″ is a long, narrow sidelight that installs vertically or horizontally, the 24″ × 36″ is the widest of the three, and the 16″ × 30″ is the one that also comes in gray-tinted glass.
Each window is a dual-pane tempered glass unit, 1/2″ thick, filled with argon and coated LoE (low emissivity). It sits in a natural-finish Hemlock frame of 3/4″ × 5-1/2″ boards with its jamb and stops, and the frame adjusts to wall depths up to 5.5″. ProSaunas builds the windows by hand in Minnesota and rates them for indoor and outdoor saunas. Each one arrives assembled, with the frame, jamb, glass and an installation manual.
Heater makers count glass when sizing a heater. Harvia's heater manuals add 1.2 cubic meters of room volume for each square meter of glass, about 4 cubic feet per square foot. A 24″ × 36″ window has 6 square feet of glass, so it adds about 24 cubic feet to the volume the heater is sized for; a 16″ × 30″ window adds about 13. Size the heater for the room plus its glass, door included.
A window ordered without a door ships by small parcel at a flat $199 per order to the contiguous US. Ordered with a ProSaunas sauna door, it ships on the door's pallet, and the door's flat $395 freight covers both. Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and Canada are quoted after you order.
