Dundalk LeisureCraft gives the Serenity and the Serenity MP seating for three to five and both the Tranquility and the Dundalk Leisurecraft Tranquility MP Barrel Sauna Canadian Timber 6 Person | CTC2345MP seating for four to six; each MP adds half-moon glass panels beside the door and a half-moon window in the back wall. SaunaLife rates the EE8G for up to six bathers, and Topture lists the True North Sauna 4-6 Person 8' Long Barrel Sauna for four to six and the Schooner for two to eight, with its 8-foot length listed for four to six.

Five is the ceiling of the Dundalk Serenity and Serenity MP, so they suit a 5 person barrel sauna group that never grows; if a sixth sometimes joins, pick one that seats up to six.

Heater sizing and electrical for a 5 person barrel sauna

None of the barrels in the 5 person barrel sauna collection includes a heater; each product page offers heater packages, one marked Recommended. The Recommended package is a 7.5 kW HUUM DROP on the Dundalk Serenity and Tranquility and both True North barrels and a 9 kW HUUM DROP on the Dundalk Serenity MP and Tranquility MP and the SaunaLife EE8G. All seven can also take one of two Harvia KIP 8 kW electric packages or, for wood-burning heat, a Harvia M3 stove kit, and the two Tranquility barrels a HUUM HIVE Wood 13 kW package. The Dundalk Serenity and Tranquility are 86¼ inches in diameter; the Serenity and Serenity MP are 94½ inches long and the Tranquility and Tranquility MP 118 inches, and the True North 4–6 person barrel is 8 feet long. Dundalk LeisureCraft's instructions for the Serenity, the Tranquility and both MP versions recommend a solid base of crushed stone, patio stones, a concrete pad or a wood deck, level but sloping slightly toward the back so water drains. SaunaLife's EE8G manual asks for a stable, level foundation.

All four Dundalk barrels build a porch into their listed length, and Topture's True North 8-foot barrel is offered with a 1-foot porch that shortens the interior rather than adding length. Measure the pad for the full listed length.
