What is the Harvia Virta 8 kW package?

The Harvia Virta 8 kW package combines three parts: the Harvia Virta 8 kW floor-standing electric sauna heater (HL8U1UL, 240 V single-phase), the Harvia Xenio CX45-U1-U3-XW control with Wi-Fi, and three 44 lb boxes of Harvia AC3000 stones. It is sized for sauna rooms of 177–431 cu ft. The package price is the sum of the three parts; ordering them together means the control and the stones are already matched to the heater.

The Virta 8 kW has no controls of its own, which is why the package includes the Xenio. The Xenio can be set from 104 to 194°F (40–90°C), runs the heater for up to 1 hour per start and can delay a start by up to 12 hours; its Wi-Fi connects the sauna to Harvia's MyHarvia app.

How is the Harvia Virta 8 kW package installed?

The Harvia Virta 8 kW stands on the sauna floor on adjustable legs, which level it. Harvia's manual asks for a heat-resistant floor covering where the heater stands, because hot pieces of stone can damage floor coverings. Harvia allows one electric heater per sauna room unless several heaters share one control unit. The heater is hardwired: Harvia's manual allows no plug or receptacle in the sauna room, and only an authorized, licensed electrician may connect it. The Xenio's power unit goes on a wall outside the sauna room, in a dry place above 32°F (0°C), and the WX248 temperature sensor that comes with the heater mounts above it. Your licensed electrician sizes the breaker and wire from the manual that ships with the heater and your local code. Harvia's installation manual, under Documents, gives the exact sensor, wiring and vent positions.

Does the sauna room need ventilation?

Yes. Harvia's Virta manual calls for adjustable vents that change the air five times an hour: a supply vent low down beside the heater and an exhaust vent on the opposite wall. The manual gives their positions.

Orders over $200 ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 carry a small shipping fee.

Two exceptions: SaunaLife and ThermaSol products carry a freight charge at any order value, and sauna stones ordered without a heater ship at $60 per box because of their weight.

Do you provide financing?

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

If your order is in stock, most orders ship within 2–7 business days of purchase. Transit time then depends on the distance from the warehouse and, for freight, on booking a delivery appointment.
