Oversized freight: curbside delivery by appointment, and you arrange a forklift or other unloading equipment. How it works

How freight delivery works

  1. The carrier books a time with you

When your order reaches a local depot, the freight company calls or texts you to schedule a delivery date and time window.

  2. Curbside, and you unload it

Crates longer than 92 inches arrive without a liftgate, and the driver does not unload. Before delivery day, arrange a forklift with extended forks (at least 8 feet, rated for the crate weight) to lift the crate from its end, or a tilt tow truck, which can also collect it from the carrier's local terminal.

  3. Inspect before you sign

Note any damage on the delivery receipt and take photos before the driver leaves. Report damage to us within 24 hours.

  • Covered by the manufacturer's warranty

Products are sourced through authorized channels and include the applicable manufacturer warranty, subject to the manufacturer's terms. Terms vary by brand and model, and we'll send you the exact warranty document on request.

If something goes wrong, contact us first: we help troubleshoot and coordinate the claim with the manufacturer.

  • Full-Value Freight Protection

Large orders ship fully insured. If freight arrives damaged, Topture helps coordinate the claim and replacement process with the carrier and manufacturer.

At delivery, note any damage on the delivery receipt and take photos before the driver leaves, then report it to us within 24 hours.

  • We're here after your purchase, too.

Need help with delivery, installation documentation, heater questions or a warranty issue? Our team can help you find answers and coordinate with the manufacturer when needed.

Description

The Dundalk Avalon (610000) is an outdoor cabin sauna from Dundalk LeisureCraft's Canadian Timber Collection, handcrafted in Canada from Eastern White Cedar. Its walls are 2-3/4" double-groove cedar logs, and a single-slope black standing-seam metal roof extends past the walls on every side, so the 95" × 95" cabin sits under a 120" × 119" roof. It arrives as a kit for assembly on site.

Dundalk rates the Avalon for 3–4 bathers. Inside it measures 79-1/4" wide by 77-1/2" deep, with the ceiling sloping from 91-1/2" at the back to 79" at the front, and Dundalk lists the room at 325 cubic feet. The benches are three tiers along the back wall, at 16", 32" and 48" high, so bathers can sit higher for more heat or lower for less.

The front is a 75" × 50-1/4" window in bronze tempered glass. The door is bronze tempered glass too, and it can be installed on either the left or the right side during assembly.

The heater is chosen separately. Dundalk recommends a 9 kW electric heater for the Avalon. We offer it as the HUUM DROP 9 kW package, our recommended pairing, or the Harvia KIP 8 kW, which Harvia rates for rooms of 250–425 cubic feet, in digital-control and built-in-control versions. For wood, the HUUM HIVE Wood 13 kW package and the Harvia M3 kit are offered. For the electric packages, HUUM's manual says the DROP 9 kW draws 37.5 amps at 240 V, and Harvia's manual says the KIP 8 kW draws 33.3 amps at 240 V single-phase. Your licensed electrician sizes the breaker and wire from the manual that ships with the heater and your local code.

Dundalk's other cabins are the compact Granby, the shed-style Palmer and the full-depth Georgian.

What's Included?

The full cabin kit:

  • 2-3/4" double-groove Eastern White Cedar wall logs and the bottom frame
  • Front window and door in 5 mm bronze tempered glass
  • Three-tier benches with their supports
  • Roof boards, trim boards, steel trim and standing-seam metal roof panels
  • Two vent covers, and the 2" hole saw the manual uses to drill the vent holes
  • Hardware and Dundalk's illustrated assembly instructions

Heater sold separately. Choose a matched heater package in the heater options on this page, or contact us if you would like a different heater.

Assembly & Installation

What the Avalon build involves

The Avalon is built on site following Dundalk's illustrated assembly instructions: the bottom frame, walls, roof, steel trim and roof panels, benches, venting and accessories. Dundalk recommends two people for raising the walls.

Tools the manual asks for: cordless driver, #2 Robertson bits (a short one and one 4" or longer), a 1/4" (6 mm) socket, a 1/8" (3 mm) drill bit and a 1/4" × 8"-long drill bit, a 1-1/2"–2" hole saw, rubber mallet, hammer, tape measure, marker or pencil, level, metal snips and a step ladder. The 2" hole saw is included in the kit.

What gets cut on site: the last metal roof panel is cut to fit the remaining space, and the vent holes are drilled with the included hole saw. No saw is on the manual's tool list. A wood-burning stove also needs a chimney opening, made following the instructions that come with the stove package's chimney kit.

Foundation

Dundalk asks for a base that is level with a slight slope to the back for drainage — crushed stone, patio stone or paver blocks, a concrete pad or a wood deck. It also suggests building the base larger than the sauna, to leave a place to sit and cool off.

Venting

The manual places an outlet vent high on a side wall and an intake vent low on the opposite wall, below the heater, each drilled with the included 2" hole saw.

Electrical

All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician; Dundalk's warranty is void otherwise.

Shipping

How is the Dundalk Avalon delivered?

The Avalon ships by LTL freight on a crate, delivered to the curb or the end of the driveway. Deliveries are usually made with an 18-wheel truck, so check it can reach your street. The carrier books a delivery appointment and does not unload — offloading is the customer's job, usually with a forklift lifting from the end of the crate on fork extensions, or by renting a tilt-bed tow truck to collect it from the local terminal. At 120" long the crate is over Dundalk's 92" limit, so there will be no lift gate — plan the offload before the truck is booked.

Avalon freight summary
Freight type LTL truck
Delivery point Curbside or end of driveway — customer offloads

Check the shipment before the driver leaves. If it arrives damaged you can still accept it: photograph the damage, write “Crate arrived open/damaged – possible hidden damage” on the Bill of Lading, and contact us straight away so the claim can be raised with the carrier.

Dundalk's dimensioned product drawing is the authoritative source for the Avalon's size; it carries the external and bench dimensions across two sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people does the Dundalk Avalon seat?
Dundalk rates the Avalon for 3 to 4 bathers. Its benches are three tiers along the back wall, 79 inches long, with seats at 16, 32 and 48 inches high and 12, 16 and 20 inches deep from bottom to top. Sitting on the top tier puts more of the body in the hottest air; the lower tiers are milder. Dundalk lists the room at 325 cubic feet.
What are the Avalon's dimensions, and how much space do I need?
The Dundalk Avalon's walls measure 95 by 95 inches on an 84-1/2 by 84-1/2 inch bottom frame, and its roof extends past the walls to 120 inches wide by 119 inches deep, so plan for a 10 by 10 foot area. It stands 105-1/2 inches tall overall. Inside, the room is 79-1/4 inches wide and 77-1/2 inches deep, with the ceiling sloping from 91-1/2 inches at the back to 79 inches at the front, according to Dundalk's product drawing.
What size heater does the Avalon need?
The heater for the Dundalk Avalon is sold separately, and Dundalk recommends 9 kW for its 325 cubic foot room. Topture offers that as the HUUM DROP 9 kW package, its recommended pairing, or the Harvia KIP 8 kW, which Harvia rates for 250 to 425 cubic feet, in digital-control and built-in-control versions. For wood-burning there is the HUUM HIVE Wood 13 kW package and the Harvia M3 kit. HUUM's manual says the DROP 9 kW draws 37.5 amps at 240 V, and Harvia's manual says the KIP 8 kW draws 33.3 amps at 240 V single-phase. Your licensed electrician sizes the breaker and wire from the manual that ships with the heater and your local code.
What is the Avalon made from?
The Dundalk Avalon is handcrafted in Canada from Eastern White Cedar, with 2-3/4 inch double-groove log walls. The roof is a single-slope black standing-seam metal roof that overhangs the walls on every side. The front window and the door are 5 mm bronze tempered single-pane glass, and the door can be installed on either the left or the right side during assembly.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes, for the Dundalk Avalon with an electric heater. Dundalk's assembly instructions say all electrical connections must be made by a qualified electrician, and its warranty policy says a licensed electrician must make them or the warranty is void. A wood-burning stove needs no electrical work, but its chimney opening is made following the instructions of the chimney kit in the stove package.
What tools do I need to assemble it?
Dundalk's Avalon assembly instructions ask for a cordless driver, #2 Robertson bits (one short, one 4 inches or longer), a 1/4 inch socket, a 1/8 inch drill bit and a 1/4 by 8 inch long drill bit, a 1-1/2 to 2 inch hole saw, a rubber mallet, a hammer, a tape measure, a marker or pencil, a level, metal snips and a step ladder. The 2 inch hole saw comes in the kit. No saw is on the list: the only cutting is the last metal roof panel, trimmed to fit with the snips, and the vent holes. Dundalk recommends two people for raising the walls.
What foundation does the Avalon need?
Dundalk asks for a base under the Avalon that is level with a slight slope to the back for drainage: crushed stone, patio stone or paver blocks, a concrete pad or a wood deck. The cabin sits on an 84-1/2 by 84-1/2 inch bottom frame, while the roof covers 120 by 119 inches. Dundalk also suggests building the base larger than the sauna, to leave a place to sit and cool off.
What warranty comes with the Avalon?
Dundalk LeisureCraft covers the Avalon with a 5-year residential limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, starting on the date the original owner receives it. The warranty provides replacement parts and does not cover labour or installation costs. Heaters carry their own manufacturer's warranty. Electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician, or the warranty is void.
How is the Avalon delivered, and can I unload it myself?
The Dundalk Avalon ships by LTL freight on a crate measuring 120 by 45 by 60 inches and weighing 1,883 lbs, delivered to the curb or the end of the driveway by appointment, usually on an 18-wheel truck. The customer offloads, typically with a forklift lifting from the end of the crate on fork extensions, or by renting a tilt-bed tow truck to collect it from the local terminal. At over 92 inches long, the crate arrives without a lift gate. If it arrives damaged, you can still accept it: photograph the damage, note it on the Bill of Lading, and contact Topture straight away.

General Topture Questions

Where are you located, and where do you ship from?

Topture is an online retailer serving customers in the contiguous United States. The company is Topture LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, and its registered business address is 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Orders ship from manufacturer and distributor warehouses in the U.S. and Canada, and some products ship directly from the manufacturer in Europe. Each product page shows its estimated delivery time.

How much is shipping?

Orders over $200 ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 carry a small shipping fee.

Four exceptions: SaunaLife and ThermaSol products carry a freight charge at any order value, ProSaunas sauna wood ships at a flat freight rate set by the number of boards and the longest board, ProSaunas sauna doors and windows ship at a flat rate per order shown on their product page, and sauna stones ordered without a heater ship at $60 per box because of their weight.

Every charge is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do you provide financing?

Absolutely! To view your financing offer, simply select Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at Step 3 of checkout.

You'll need to enter a debit card to receive your offer, but don’t worry—you can still back out before completing the purchase.

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

If your order is in stock, most orders ship within 2–7 business days of purchase. Transit time then depends on the distance from the warehouse and, for freight, on booking a delivery appointment.

For custom, pre-order or made-to-order items, the estimated delivery time frame is listed on the product page. Delivery dates are estimates, so please don't book installation labor until your order has arrived and been inspected.

What happens after I place my order?

As soon as you place your order, you'll receive a confirmation email with your order details—be sure to keep it for your records. Once your order ships, you'll receive another email with tracking information.

For freight deliveries, the carrier will call or text you to schedule an appointment once the shipment reaches their local terminal. Someone needs to be there to inspect the shipment and sign for it. Smaller parcels arrive by UPS or FedEx without an appointment.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Products purchased through Topture include the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. You’ll find the warranty details for each product under the "Warranty" tab on its product page, and we help with troubleshooting and warranty coordination if an issue comes up.

Do you have a showroom?

We don’t have a showroom — we sell online. Our team is available by phone, email and chat to help you compare models, sizes and heaters, and we can send dimensions, installation manuals and electrical requirements before you buy.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver throughout the 48 contiguous states, with curbside freight delivery for large items. Free shipping and standard rates apply there only. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. islands and Canada are quoted separately, depending on the brand and model. We can't ship freight or oversized items to P.O. boxes.

Do you ship internationally?
