The SunRay Logan (model 200D6) is a 2-person outdoor far-infrared sauna built from aged Canadian hemlock, with a weather-resistant painted and sealed exterior, a metal composite roof and a full-height glass door. It measures 49" W × 49" D × 88" H as a cabin, with a 66" × 69" roof footprint, and 45" W × 45" D × 73" H inside. Its far-infrared heaters draw 2,800 W and reach 140°F on a dedicated 240 V, 20 A circuit. SunRay lists the Logan at 361 lbs, and it ships by LTL freight as a kit for on-site assembly.

How the SunRay Logan heats

The Logan uses far-infrared heaters and runs at lower air temperatures than a traditional sauna: SunRay rates it to 140°F.

Assembly & Installation

What electrical connection does the SunRay Logan need?

A dedicated 240 V outlet on its own 20 A circuit, the same kind of circuit an electric clothes dryer uses; SunRay lists it as 220–240 V. The Logan's heaters draw 2,800 W, nothing else can share the circuit, and SunRay requires it to be run by a licensed electrician. If your electrical panel has no room for another 240 V breaker, your electrician may need to upgrade it first.

SunRay does not state which 240 V plug the Logan uses, so contact us before your electrician installs the outlet and we will confirm the connection with you. Inside the cabin everything is plug-in: during assembly the heaters plug together inside the bench cavity, so the only site wiring is the supply circuit and its outlet. Have them in place before delivery day.

Where can the SunRay Logan be installed?

Outdoors, on a sturdy, level surface. SunRay built the Logan as an outdoor sauna, with a painted and sealed hemlock exterior and a metal composite roof. SunRay's manual names a concrete pad, a wood deck or another solid surface, says the sauna should never sit directly on the ground, and recommends a floor separator where the ground is damp. The site needs room for the 66" × 69" roof footprint, not just the 49" × 49" cabin.

Looking after it outdoors

SunRay's manual calls for the exterior to be repainted or treated with a waterproof sealer every year, and SunRay's warranty certificate makes annual resealing a condition of cover for outdoor saunas sold without a weather cover. The Logan does not include one.

How is the SunRay Logan assembled?

From flat-packed panels, following SunRay's D6 series manual. The manual's sequence: set the base on a solid, level surface, apply sealant to the wall edges and bottoms, then fit the back wall, the side walls, the bench supports and seat, the front panel with the door, and the backrest support (35 mm screws), and finish with the inner and outer roof, sealing the metal composite overlap with silicone. SunRay says two people can assemble it in about two hours with a Phillips screwdriver or a drill with a Phillips bit. The electrical connection is work for a licensed electrician.

How is the SunRay Logan delivered?

The SunRay Logan ships by LTL freight, with its panels boxed and strapped to a wooden pallet, and SunRay lists its shipping weight at 361 lbs. Delivery is curbside with a lift gate, which lowers the shipment to the driveway; moving it from there to the base is up to you, so plan the route before the truck arrives.

SunRay's warranty excludes freight damage caused by the carrier, so note any visible damage on the delivery receipt, photograph it, and contact us before you start assembly. SunRay Saunas Warranty

This warranty covers all SunRay branded saunas purchased directly from SunRay Saunas or any of its authorized affiliates. This warranty is non-transferable.

Structural Warranty — 10 Years

SunRay warrants the sauna structure against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship for 10 years from the date of purchase.

What's covered:

  • Wooden sauna panels, flooring, ceiling, and glass
  • Replacement parts necessary for repair
  • If a structural defect cannot be remedied by a replacement part, SunRay may send a full replacement sauna at its sole discretion

Note: Surface cracks in the wood and minor blemishes are normal characteristics of natural wood and are not considered defects.

Parts & Electronics Warranty — 1 Year

All sauna parts, including the heater and electrical components, are guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Electrical Requirements

Indoor traditional saunas require a dedicated 240V circuit in order to accommodate the high heat output of the heater. Please reference the product specification sheet to determine the specific requirements for your sauna.

Ventilation Requirements

Indoor traditional saunas are equipped with an air vent in the ceiling. This air vent is designed to help circulate heat throughout the sauna during the heat-up phase and to allow moisture to leave the sauna if you are adding humidity and using it as a steam sauna. The sauna cabin air vent also allows you to lower the sauna temperature without opening the door if the temperature inside the sauna becomes too hot.

Maximum Temperature

SunRay indoor traditional saunas have a maximum operating temperature of 170 degrees Fahrenheit. The normal operating range is 160-170 degrees Fahrenheit.

Traditional Sauna Shipping

All traditional saunas are shipped via truck freight with curbside and lift-gate delivery service unless otherwise specified. SunRay traditional saunas and steam saunas are shipped on a wooden pallet with removable bracing to protect the sauna boxes. Please contact us if you have special requirements for delivery. The trucking company will call you to schedule a delivery appointment.

Sauna Warranty

SunRay home saunas carry a 10-year structural warranty and 1-year parts warranty. All SunRay sauna parts, including electronic parts and the electric heater, are guaranteed for 1 year against defects.

Electrical Connection

Indoor traditional saunas for the home come with a power cord attached to the heater. The power cord does not have a plug. It is designed to be hard-wired into a junction box or you can put a plug on the end of the power cord. Please note that the power requirements differ by sauna model. Consult your traditional sauna user manual for the specific power requirements.

Assembly and Installation

An indoor traditional sauna is easily assembled by two adults. The typical assembly time is 1 hour. No special tools are required for the sauna to be assembled.

Cleaning Your Home Sauna

Your home sauna should be cleaned a minimum of every 3-4 months or more frequently depending on usage. To clean the interior of your home sauna, use a mixture of baking soda and water (3 teaspoons baking soda to 1 gallon of warm water). Using a clean towel, wipe down the interior of the sauna, focusing on where sweat accumulates. Let the area dry with the sauna door open. Use a standard ammonia-based glass cleaner to clean the sauna doors and windows.

Traditional Sauna Origin

SunRay traditional sauna cabins are constructed from Hemlock or Cedar wood imported from Canada. SunRay's manufacturing facility is in China and its distribution facility is in the United States. Warranty claims are handled by SunRay Saunas, based in Richmond, VA, and Topture helps you coordinate them.

Placing an Indoor Sauna Outdoors

SunRay indoor traditional saunas are not rated for outdoor use. They have an open top that is not protected from the elements. If you place the indoor sauna outdoors, it must be covered and protected from the elements. Indoor saunas that are placed outdoors will not be covered under SunRay's sauna warranty.

Sauna Heating Time

The average heating time for traditional home saunas ranges between 30-45 minutes depending on the room temperature, size of the sauna, and the heater type.

Ceiling Clearance

You need at least 3-4 inches between the top of the home sauna and the ceiling. This allows the electrical components on the top of the sauna to receive the appropriate amount of airflow.

Sauna Stones

SunRay indoor traditional saunas come with heater stones that sit on top of the heater elements. The heater stones are used to help radiate heat throughout the sauna and can be used to create humidity inside the sauna. DO NOT pour excess water on the heater stones as it will cause damage to the heater. To create humidity in the sauna, simply drizzle a small amount of water over the stones once they are hot.

Sauna Heater Placement

All indoor traditional saunas are equipped with either a wall mounting bracket or cradle for the heater to sit in. DO NOT place the sauna heater directly on the floor as it could become a fire hazard. The sauna must be elevated off the floor to create airflow through the heating elements.

Sauna Lighting

All indoor traditional saunas come with ambient dome lighting. Saunas with dome lighting can be connected to the heater so that the light turns off when the heater turns off. Alternatively, you can wire the lighting separately on its own switch. Consult your sauna heating wiring guide for instructions on how to wire your sauna light into the heater.

For custom, pre-order or made-to-order items, the estimated delivery time frame is listed on the product page. Delivery dates are estimates, so please don't book installation labor until your order has arrived and been inspected.

What happens after I place my order?

As soon as you place your order, you'll receive a confirmation email with your order details—be sure to keep it for your records. Once your order ships, you'll receive another email with tracking information.

For freight deliveries, the carrier will call or text you to schedule an appointment once the shipment reaches their local terminal. Someone needs to be there to inspect the shipment and sign for it. Smaller parcels arrive by UPS or FedEx without an appointment.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Products purchased through Topture include the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. You’ll find the warranty details for each product under the "Warranty" tab on its product page, and we help with troubleshooting and warranty coordination if an issue comes up.

Do you have a showroom?

We don’t have a showroom — we sell online. Our team is available by phone, email and chat to help you compare models, sizes and heaters, and we can send dimensions, installation manuals and electrical requirements before you buy.

Where do you deliver to?

We deliver throughout the 48 contiguous states, with curbside freight delivery for large items. Free shipping and standard rates apply there only. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, other U.S. islands and Canada are quoted separately, depending on the brand and model. We can't ship freight or oversized items to P.O. boxes.

Do you ship internationally?
