What the MiniPOD build involves
The MiniPOD is assembled on site following Dundalk's illustrated manual; Dundalk recommends two people. The manual includes an optional section for fitting a wood-burning heater with the chimney out through the back wall.
Tools the manual asks for: cordless drill with Phillips and Robertson bits, rubber mallet, carpenter's level, adjustable wrench, a jigsaw, a staple gun, a 2" (51 mm) hole saw and a step ladder.
Foundation
Dundalk asks for a base that is level with a slight slope to the back for drainage — a concrete pad or a wood deck.
Electrical
Final electrical hookups must be completed by a certified electrician to comply with local codes. Dundalk makes this a condition of warranty validation, not just good practice.
