ProSaunas Alder 2x3 Tongue & Groove Sauna Paneling, Large Gap is an alder board for lining sauna walls and ceilings. Each board is 1.06 in thick and 2.52 in wide, covers 2.2 in of wall once fitted, and is sold by the piece in 1 ft and 8 ft lengths.

Why alder for a sauna?

ProSaunas selects alder with a light color and a subtle grain pattern. ProSaunas describes alder as durable and naturally water resistant, with a uniform pore structure and even color, and its low heat conductivity keeps it comfortable to the touch in a hot sauna.

The Grace profile

ProSaunas' Grace profile has broad, angular grooves for a bolder look, and can be contrasted with other profiles for a custom appearance. Each board's tongue fits into the groove of the next, so the boards lock together into one continuous surface.

Nominal 2x3 vs. actual size

"2x3" is the nominal size: the board's size when it is cut from the log, before drying and surfacing. The finished board is 1.06 in thick and 2.52 in wide. Its tongue sits in the groove of the next board, so each board covers 2.2 in of wall rather than its full width.

How many boards do you need?

One linear foot of this board covers about 0.18 sq ft of wall (2.2 in of coverage × 12 in). To estimate an order, multiply the wall and ceiling area in square feet by 5.45 to get linear feet, then divide by the board length you choose. Cleaning and care

ProSaunas recommends wiping benches, walls and floors with a mild detergent solution to remove sweat, oils and dirt, and ventilating the sauna after each use so moisture does not build up and lead to mold or mildew.

Checkout calculates it from two things: how many boards are in the order, counted across all sauna wood in the cart, and the length of the longest board. It appears at checkout as "Insured Shipping": every Topture shipment is insured.

The rate is for the whole order, not per board: 30 boards of up to 8 ft ship for $395 in total. One board longer than 8 ft moves the whole order to the right-hand column, so 30 boards of 8 ft plus one 10 ft board ship for $495. If the order also contains other products, their shipping is calculated separately and added at checkout.

Which sauna wood orders are quoted after checkout?

Boards longer than 10 ft, orders of 1,000 boards or more, and deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or Canada ship by freight quoted for the delivery address. Topture sends the quote after you order, and it is paid separately.

How is sauna wood delivered?

  • Boards up to 8 ft: smaller orders usually ship by parcel in cardboard, and larger orders on a pallet by LTL freight with a liftgate.
  • Boards over 8 ft: on a pallet by LTL freight without a liftgate, so unloading needs a dock or hand offloading at the delivery address. The carrier allows one hour before extra charges apply.
  • Freight is delivered curbside by appointment.
  • Some remote addresses don't qualify for the flat rate; Topture confirms any extra charge with you before the order ships.

Orders ship from manufacturer and distributor warehouses in the U.S. and Canada, and some products ship directly from the manufacturer in Europe. Each product page shows its estimated delivery time.

How much is shipping?

Orders over $200 ship free within the contiguous United States. Orders under $200 carry a small shipping fee.

Four exceptions: SaunaLife and ThermaSol products carry a freight charge at any order value, ProSaunas sauna wood ships at a flat freight rate set by the number of boards and the longest board, ProSaunas sauna doors and windows ship at a flat rate per order shown on their product page, and sauna stones ordered without a heater ship at $60 per box because of their weight.

Every charge is shown at checkout before you pay.

Do you provide financing?

Absolutely! To view your financing offer, simply select Shop Pay Installments as your payment method at Step 3 of checkout.

You'll need to enter a debit card to receive your offer, but don’t worry—you can still back out before completing the purchase.

How long will it take for my items to arrive?

If your order is in stock, most orders ship within 2–7 business days of purchase. Transit time then depends on the distance from the warehouse and, for freight, on booking a delivery appointment.

For custom, pre-order or made-to-order items, the estimated delivery time frame is listed on the product page. Delivery dates are estimates, so please don't book installation labor until your order has arrived and been inspected.

What happens after I place my order?

As soon as you place your order, you'll receive a confirmation email with your order details—be sure to keep it for your records. Once your order ships, you'll receive another email with tracking information.

For freight deliveries, the carrier will call or text you to schedule an appointment once the shipment reaches their local terminal. Someone needs to be there to inspect the shipment and sign for it. Smaller parcels arrive by UPS or FedEx without an appointment.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Products purchased through Topture include the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. You’ll find the warranty details for each product under the "Warranty" tab on its product page, and we help with troubleshooting and warranty coordination if an issue comes up.

Do you have a showroom?

We don’t have a showroom — we sell online. Our team is available by phone, email and chat to help you compare models, sizes and heaters, and we can send dimensions, installation manuals and electrical requirements before you buy.

We deliver throughout the 48 contiguous states, with curbside freight delivery for large items. Free shipping and standard rates apply there only.
