At SunRay we are uncompromising in our commitment to providing quality Infrared saunas that stand the test of time. Our saunas are designed to be ergonomically and aesthetically pleasing while providing significant health benefits for consumers. SunRay saunas use tongue and groove panels for unsurpassed strength and ease of assembly. Our factory follows IS0-9001 quality control standards to ensure that each sauna reaches the same high-quality standards. SunRay saunas have internationally recognized quality seals for safety and professional manufacturing including CE, CETL, ETL and RoHS. Standard features on most SunRay models include digital chromatherapy lighting, oxygen ionization, interior reading lamps, FM radio w/CD player and adjustable air vents.
SunRay saunas are constructed of only premium grade Canadian Red Cedar or Hemlock wood. Canada's cold climate makes wood grow slowly which ensures great strength, stability and corrosion resistance. At SunRay we use laser-cut tongue and groove panels for unsurpassed strength and durability. All of our saunas are seal coated on the exterior to provide long-lasting appeal while the interior is sanded to provide a smooth and relaxing finish. We only use non-toxic materials to seal and coat our saunas. All saunas are equipped with tempered glass doors and panels. SunRay Saunas are easy to assemble and designed to be installed in any room of the house. SunRay outdoor saunas use the same premium materials as our interior models but include a pitched roof and weather cover for outdoor use!
SunRay has many styles and models of saunas to choose from. Whether you are looking for a relaxing indoor infrared sauna for a quick and relaxing detox session, a covered outdoor sauna for relaxing with friends in the great outdoors or a high temperature traditional Finnish sauna for a maximum sweat, SunRay has a sauna to meet your needs.
Our infrared saunas offer easy setup and installation with tongue and groove construction. Typical setup time is less than an hour. We have a wide variety of sauna sizes and configurations that accommodate from 1 to 4 users. Our wooden cabins come in either Hemlock wood for strength and durability or Red cedar which provides a smooth relaxing aroma.
SunRay outdoor saunas provide the convenience of being able to enjoy the same health benefits without interior space restrictions. Our aged Canadian Hemlock hardwood cabins are designed for outdoor climates and our ceramic heaters are engineered to provide higher levels of heat in colder climates. Our outdoor sauna models also feature a severe weather cover that can be unzipped for easy entry into the sauna.
SunRay traditional saunas provide higher heat levels for maximum detoxification and blood circulation. Our traditional saunas include state-of-the-art Harvia electric heaters that use lava rocks that can produce temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sunray Saunas, based in Mechanicsville, Virginia, create visually beautiful, comfortable, and sophisticated residential saunas. The saunas are available in both infrared and traditional steam saunas, as well as indoor and outdoor varieties, and may accommodate 1-3+ persons.
Infrared heaters in the sauna emit FAR Infrared heat which is a narrow band of energy within the 5.6 to 15 micron level. This type of energy closely resembles the natural human spectrum so it’s easily absorbed by the body tissue. The body reacts by sweating profusely which has many health benefits including detoxification, improved blood flow, circulation and weight loss.
SunRay, unlike many manufacturers, does not use wires to conduct FAR Infrared heat, rather we apply the perfect thickness of ultra-conductive carbon to an epoxy resin panel activated by positive and negative copper strips on either side. The epoxy resin panel is then laminated which results in ultra-low EMF levels safe for continuous use.
SunRay Saunas contain wooden panels that are pre-packaged in cardboard boxes and then placed on a wooden pallet to ensure the sauna arrives without damage. The cardboard boxes can be removed from the pallet and will fit through any door size 24” or greater.
SunRay Saunas are not pre-assembled. They arrive in panels that are secured together with screws and metal latches. Assembly takes approximately one hour.
Most sauna models take about an hour to assemble. Two people are required. For more information on the assembly of the unit please see the assembly instructions.
No, the only tool you need to assemble the sauna is a Phillips head screwdriver or drill with a Phillips head bit.
All SunRay infrared saunas use UL listed plugs and operate on 110V. Some larger indoor and outdoor saunas require a non-standard 20 amp plug. Traditional saunas operate on a 220V dedicated circuit.
Most saunas weigh between 300-400lbs, so yes you can place a sauna on the second floor.
All SunRay Saunas except the outdoor models must be used indoors. They are not suitable for outdoor use.
First, unplug the sauna and make sure it is cool before cleaning. To clean the wooden interior of your sauna mix 3 teaspoons of baking soda into a gallon of warm water. Use a towel to wipe down the interior with the baking soda and water mixture. Then wipe the sauna down with a wet towel and let dry. The glass in your sauna can be cleaned with glass cleaner. If you have an outdoor sauna, use a standard garden hose on a low/mist setting to wash out the interior. Make sure to leave the door open so the sauna can dry.
The sauna should be cleaned every 6 months or at your discretion if you are using it regularly. Using a towel to sit on while in the sauna will capture a lot of the sweat and thereby reduce the frequency of cleaning the sauna.
