Yes, absolutely. We offer Trim Kits for the 16”, 30” & 41" models made of stainless steel, to give a clean and seamless look to your built-in griddle installation, as well as insulated Liner Jackets that allow a safe built-in of your gas griddle when using combustible enclosure materials. Also constructed with 304 stainless steel, this jacket insulates outdoor kitchen island components from unwanted heat. This item is also available for our 16”, 30” & 41” models.
It can take around 10-15 minutes until the griddle has reached its proper temperature. You also want to make sure that the surface is evenly heated.
Heat your griddle slowly. Switch the temperature to medium heat after around 15 minutes. The best way to test your griddle is to sprinkle some water on it. When the water runs or „dances“ across the surface, your griddle is ready to go. If the water immediately turns to steam, the griddle is likely too hot.
Alternatively, hold your hand about five inches above the grill and count how many seconds you can hold it there comfortably.
5-6 seconds: Your grill is at about 250-degrees, which is equal to low heat.
3-4 seconds: Your grill is at about 350-degrees, which is equal to medium heat.
1 second: Your grill is between 450-degrees and 500-degrees, which is equal to high heat.
The temperature of a griddle normally ranges between 250-degrees (low heat) up to About 500-degrees (high heat).
This can be caused by a few things:
First, your temperature may be far too high. This causes the oil/butter to burn alongside the food, resulting in sticking.
It's possible you didn't use enough butter/oil or that didn't spread it evenly on the surface of the griddle.
Or, in the case of pancakes, you may have attempted to flip it before it was fully cooked on the first side. Before flipping, make sure there are little bubbles and browned edges.
A French Top is a 24" × 24" section on the range top constructed of a hefty flat smooth steel plate with a high-powered gas burner beneath the surface (much like a teppan-yaki griddle).
When all of the plates are in place, you'll have a level surface on which to move cookware about, with highheat in the middle progressively cooling as you move further from the center.
LeGriddle doesn’t require registration for their products. You only need to retain your proof of purchase (sales receipt) in case you need parts under warranty.
The model number is located under the cooking plate, on the right or left-hand side.
