It measures 1.1 in thick and 1.1 in wide and is sold by the piece in 1 ft and 10 ft lengths.

Why aspen for a sauna?

ProSaunas selects straight-grained aspen with a uniform texture and a light, creamy color. According to ProSaunas, aspen has very good dimensional stability, does not split when nailed, and does not secrete resin, splinter or overheat; its low heat conductivity keeps it comfortable to the touch in a hot sauna.

What is S4S trim with eased edges used for?

ProSaunas sells this profile as smooth four-sides trim with eased edges, a simple way to add definition and a furniture-quality look to a sauna.

Nominal 2x2 vs. actual size

"2x2" is the nominal size: the piece's size when it is cut from the log, before drying and surfacing.
